WOMMACK for MAYOR
Early Voting: April 24-May 2
Election Day: May 6
LESS GOVERNMENT Living in the City of Lone Star should not be less attractive than living outside the city. This is small town America. If we wanted government to have more control over our lives, we'd move to the big city. City Hall has continually, raised taxes, increased regulations, and increased fees driving up the cost of living. Since 2011, my opponent has led the charge for higher water rates, higher garbage rates, and more spending. See more details on his voting record . Lower Cost of Living For the privelege of living inside the city limits, we pay higher property taxes as well as sales taxes. That makes it harder for people and businesses to survive in Lone Star. In addition to that, cities make revenue from adding on fees to utilities. By cutting spending we can cut the fees charged to citizens of Lone Star and make it a more attractive place to live and do business. There is no reasons why residents of Lone Star should have to pay more for water than residents of Daingerfield. More Freedom There are many rules and regulations through city ordinances that are stricter in Lone Star, Texas than in cities like New York City, Austin, and San Francisco. If you are not harming your neighbor, then the government should stay out of your way.
